There are all sorts of experts out there that say that you can make your own family; nothing is really traditional anymore. While that's true; the real family is working for me. Now that I've moved to Athens I wonder why I waited so long; why I let other things sway me. Living with my daughter and her family is so very wonderful. I get to feel loving care instead of controlled care.
I wish I wasn't still feeling the drag of my former life. When that's all settled and put to bed there will be a great weight lifted from me. The thing to do is not worry about what's going to happen; make the things I want to happen a reality. This is not a Pollyanna attitude; it's an I'll deal with the circumstances in the best way I can--lemonade out of lemons? Just move forward and enjoy this family; be as much of a contributing member as I can.
